AboutMelio
Melio Games is a small, carefully made games studio. We build calm, focused puzzle games you can play in your browser, solo, with a friend, or against one.
The flagship is Melio Sudoku: five difficulties, live multiplayer races, co-op solving on a shared board, a daily puzzle with streaks, and a leaderboard. Alongside it sits Chess, Wordle, Connections, Word Hunt, Mini Crossword, Minesweeper, 2048, Reaction Time, and Word Bomb. Each built with the same restraint.
What we’re about
- Free. No ads. No paywalls on core gameplay. Sign up if you want streaks and a name on the leaderboard, but every puzzle is free to play.
- Calm. No flashing animations, no rage-bait. Warm paper feel, careful typography, tight feedback loops.
- Together. Real-time multiplayer is a first-class feature, not an afterthought. Race someone across the same puzzle, or solve one together.
How Melio is different
Most puzzle-game sites either run heavy ad networks or charge for the core game. Melio does neither. We’re betting that doing it right (no ads, no signup wall, actual real-time multiplayer) builds an audience worth having, and that we’ll figure out the business model from there, most likely B2B embed licensing for media sites and schools, which we’ve already started at /embed.
The strategic bet is multiplayer sudoku. No one else does it well. Realtime races between two players solving the same puzzle, co-op on a shared board, sharable spectator URLs, features that are normal on chess sites but inexplicably absent from the sudoku world. We’re fixing that.
The full pitch lives on the multiplayer sudoku page, or read the long-form multiplayer guide if you want every detail.

One person, in their spare time, with absurd amounts of attention to detail. The whole site is open enough to describe: Next.js 16 + Supabase + Tailwind v4. The source isn’t public yet, but it might be eventually.
